With a background as a multidisciplinary artist compromised with free and open source software culture, RKRRK is the experimental outlet of Diego Madero. He has engaged in sound, visual arts and escenic platforms for over a decade and has been active ever since with diverse aliases: he is one of the founders —and remaining member— of Futurología. Several of his works are DIY, done under hacked hardware, and also sometimes with live coding approaches as .dm*. In RKRRK, and for this release, he has acknowledged one of the darkest eras in order focus and elope at the same time, giving birth to one of his most electronic releases. Meaning fog, the concept of Niebla is a two-sided metaphor as it has emotional, psychic and aesthetic motives. It is the representation of struggling through nebulous mist until lucidity comes. RKRRK’s debut for OTONO is a thorough sound exploration made during hard times that ends in something pure; similar to doing a confusing expedition in a obscure forest, going inwards profoundly into the mist, to finally find peace of mind in the light. Sonically it is analogical to a deep noise meditation.
